The assignment

Fulfilment Achterhoek opened a new distribution centre of over 30,000 m² in Zevenaar. UTPinfra was asked to design and deliver the full network and security stack end-to-end: reliable, centrally managed, and ready to grow.

Timing mattered. Cabling, trays and mount points had to be in before 10 m racking closed the routes. Coordinating with other trades kept the sequence right — from site survey through install, configuration, testing and handover.

01

CAT6A + fiber

Full CAT6A cabling with more than 300 endpoints, trays across multiple IDFs, and fiber into the server room.

02

UniFi Wi-Fi

Site survey and a uniform UniFi network with seamless roaming for handheld scanners — including between 10 m racking.

03

UniFi Protect

Camera coverage of entrances, loading docks and the yard, monitored centrally in the control tower.

04

Ubiquiti Access

Access control on the same network, ready to link with other sites.

Cabling as the backbone

The DC received a complete CAT6A install with more than 300 wired endpoints. Trays run across multiple IDFs; the server room is linked over fiber. The result is a network that stays clear, measurable and easy to extend.

  • CAT6A to more than 300 endpoints
  • Cable trays across multiple IDFs
  • Fiber link to the server room

Wi-Fi between the racks

After a full site survey we rolled out a uniform UniFi network. Access points are placed so scanners and mobiles keep coverage everywhere — including between 10 m racking, with seamless roaming.

  • Site survey before placement
  • Uniform UniFi design
  • Roaming for handheld scanners and mobile devices

CCTV and control tower

UniFi Protect covers every entrance, loading dock and the yard. Feeds land in the control tower on six screens, with night vision and motion detection.

Access control, ready for more sites

Ubiquiti Access sits on the same LAN. The install is prepared to link other locations — the same uniform design Fulfilment Achterhoek can roll out internationally.

  • Ubiquiti Access, integrated with the LAN
  • Prepared for multi-site
  • Central management, lower operational load

The result

  • 100% Wi-Fi coverage across the warehouse, including between racking
  • Stable operational continuity since handover
  • Scalable UniFi design, ready for other sites
  • CCTV coverage of docks, entries and yard
  • Access control prepared to link other locations
  • Single point of contact for network, cameras, access and support

“From site survey to handover — one uniform design for network and security, ready for the next site.”
